Vacancy : Marine Biologist / Aquarist

Brief Job Outline

We are seeking a marine biologist with a passion for aquaculture to work with our Head of Fish Lab, based at the Marine Discovery Centre, Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru, Maldives.

The Role

• Maintain and develop all aspects of the Fish Lab Program under guidance of the Head of Fish Lab.
• Projects: breeding of fish, shrimp, jellyfish; plankton culture; marine aquaria; sustainable foods.
• Conduct Fish Lab tours; give marine life briefings; guide snorkel/dive excursions.

The Ideal Candidate

• Maldivian national preferred.
• BSc/MSc (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (Marine Biology, Aquaculture).
• Essential: knowledge and experience of marine aquaculture, aquaria maintenance, and tropical marine systems.
